RADICAL RESILIENCE:
HOLDING THE LINE
OPENING CELEBRATION
Friday | August 15 | 5:00-8:00 pm
Onsite | All are welcome
Join us for the opening of Radical Resilience an annual exhibition celebrating the perseverance and creativity of Bay Area artists living with disabilities. Meet the artists, explore the exhibition, and enjoy refreshments, live entertainment and music spun by DJ Fridge! Featuring Bhavya Shah (internationally renowned blind comedian) and exhibiting artist Maia Scott as BLOCKHEAD!
DJ Fridge is a disabled DJ, radio host, promoter, and organizer based in San Francisco, California. They use music and nightlife as tools to push culture forward in a more inclusive and radical direction. Their work has been featured in Bay Area publications including The San Francisco Chronicle and KQED.
Help fortify our village by joining an interactive sign-making station—part of an evolving installation that will grow throughout the exhibition—voicing support for a more inclusive society and celebrating the creative work of people living with disabilities, both seen and unseen.
About the Exhibition
Radical Resilience: Holding the Line is the fourth annual exhibition hosted by Ruth’s Table that centers artists living with disabilities, both visible and invisible. This year, our gallery represents a village built from resistance, care, and creative survival. Here, artists dig in their heels, hold the line, and boldly persist.
Access: This location is wheelchair accessible and has both indoor and outdoor space. Please refrain from wearing fragrances (perfume, cologne, etc.) in order to keep our space accessible to people with all disabilities. While inside, well-fitting KN95/KF94/N95 masks (or better) are required and provided, unless you cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition. Food and drink will be consumed in the outside courtyard. If requested, we will have a masks-required section of the outdoor space.
ASL Interpretation: ASL interpretation is available upon request. 72 hours notice required.
Registration: Free | All are Welcome
