PROUD & PRESENT THEATRE LAB
The Proud & Present Theatre Lab brings together older, disabled, low-income, trans, and gender-expansive adults to create original theatre rooted in lived experience. Using found footage, curated audio, group writing, and interviews, participants transform memory and imagination into collective performance, in collaboration with theatre maker Evan Johnson.
A joint project of Curry Senior Center and Ruth’s Table and supported by Horizons Foundation, Proud & Present Theatre Lab’s inaugural production, Cosmic Jailbreak, will be presented December 6 & 7, 2025, at 1 PM (both days) at CounterPulse, 80 Turk Street, San Francisco. Free entry. Snacks served.
