“It was a beautiful Sunday morning in San Diego, California, and a blissful evening in a village way far away in Kenya, Africa (thanks to the time difference). I zoomed in, sitting at my dining table while sipping a steaming cup of ginger infused tea. My brother on the other end was busy barbequing on the veranda of our family home. This is where we both grew up - a beautiful red brick house surrounded by beautiful Jacaranda trees.
The violet Jacaranda flowers were in full bloom and the horizon depicted a magnificent sunset far behind the mountains. We reminisced on the wonderful childhood memories, and as I sat more than a thousand miles from my brother I could not only smell the barbeque he was preparing, but also the beautiful flowers around him.
It was a riveting experience having to experience the two worlds far apart and then capture everything through my imaginary WINDOW. That was the best day of my life!”
