Inspired by artist and activist Ruth Asawa, we bring together neighbors, older adults, artists and visitors of all ages to connect through shared creative experiences.

Yes. Ruth’s Table is a program of Front Porch, a not-for-profit senior living organization that supports innovative programs and communities for older adults across California. Front Porch Communities Foundation underwrites the cost of programming, making these opportunities accessible to everyone in our community.

Visiting Ruth’s Table

Ruth’s Table is located at 3160 21st Street in the Mission District of San Francisco, around the corner from Bethany Center, a senior affordable housing community of CARING Housing Ministries, a Front Porch partner.

Ruth’s Table is typically open Tuesday-Friday at 11am-4pm, with some variation during exhibits and special events.

A dedicated, temporary loading zone in front of the gallery offers an accessible path for visitors and group visits. There is street parking in the neighborhood for an hourly fee, and the Mission Bartlett parking garage is nearby, at 3255 21st Street.

Yes! We welcome groups. For larger groups, or to schedule a visit with an exhibition tour and workshop, please contact us in advance to help ensure the best experience.

Yes. Ruth’s Table is committed to accessibility and offers an ADA-accessible space. The space is wheelchair accessible, and we aim to ensure programs are inclusive for participants with diverse mobility needs. Additional accommodations may be available upon request.
