BAKER’S CLAY WORKSHOP: CELEBRATING RUTH ASAWA’S SAN FRANCISCO FOUNTAIN

Saturday, August 2 | 1:00-3:00pm
Onsite | Free

In 1971, Ruth Asawa designed the San Francisco Fountain. It was made with baker’s clay and cast into bronze. She included her community in the process. Join us at Ruth’s Table to make a self-portrait in baker’s clay to add to our intergenerational community mural that will be exhibited in our Gallery Takeover Exhibit in January 2026. Baker’s clay and tools will be provided.

This program is held in celebration of the Ruth Asawa: Retrospective exhibition at the SFMOMA through September 2, 2025.

Registration: RSVP Here

Visitor Guidelines: Face masks are optional.

Access: Ruth’s Table and adjacent green space are wheelchair accessible.

ASL Interpretation: ASL interpretation is available upon request. 72 hours notice required.

Donate: The program is free, donations are welcome.
