AUTHOR’S TALK WITH MARKE BIESCHKE
Thursday, July 10 | 5:30-7:00pm
Onsite | Free
Join us for a powerful evening of queer storytelling and community reflection as we welcome award-winning journalist and author Marke Bieschke (aka Marke B.) to Ruth’s Table. Marke is the publisher of 48hills.org and former editor of the Bay Guardian, a longtime voice in San Francisco’s cultural and protest movements, LGBTQ+ nightlife history, and youth issues. He’s also part of the Stud Collective and co-owner of The Stud, SF’s oldest LGBTQ nightclub.
At this special Author’s Talk, Marke will share insights from Queer: The Ultimate LGBTQ Guide for Teens, a humorous and honest roadmap for LGBTQ+ youth navigating identity, relationships, coming out, and resilience. This fully updated edition features personal stories, queer history, and practical advice to empower young people and those who care about them.
Whether you’re a young person seeking guidance, an educator or caregiver, or simply someone who believes in the power of inclusive storytelling, this is a space for connection, truth-telling, and celebration.
Light refreshments will be served. All ages and allies welcome.
