VANESSA MOSQUEDA VELEZ
LATIN DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Vanessa Mosqueda Velez was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Jalisco, Mexico. She has been teaching for 28 twenty-eight years. She has degrees in Performing Arts/Dance and Liberal-Science Arts and is certified in Classical Ballet, Ethnic Afro-Latino Heritage dances and Ballroom dance. She taught dance and performing arts at Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts for more than twenty-two years and is one of the founders for (MAS) Multicultural Arts School and after-school programs. Vanessa is also the Executive Director/Artistic Director/Leader and founder for MixtisoLatino an Indio-Afro-Mexican Salvadoreno Urbano Hip Hop dance company. She started dancing and singing at her grandparent’s restaurant Las Casulas when she was 3 years old.
